another silly love song

Flip on the tv.
What do I see?
I see this one smiling and that one posing.
But none of those people look real to me.
Put on my headphones,
Want to chill at home.
But all I hear, is that I need this one and I need that one,
Too much noise, want to be left alone.
Then I see you.
Hear you call my name.
I know what’s true.
We’re part of nobody’s game.
We live our lives,
We’re a part of a larger plan.
Your love is the tie that binds.
Your love is endless as the sands.

Want to go for a walk.
Want to have a simple talk.
Without somebody telling me what to believe.
I walk with you and see what you see.
See all the beauty the world gives.
See what a joy it is to live.
But sometimes life’s not fair.
We get so much to bear.
There’s so much pain.
Like taking steps backwards and nothing to gain.
I cry out loud.
Bust through those clouds.
I gasp for air.
Feels like I’m not even there.
Then I see you.
Hear you call my name.
I know what’s true.
We’re part of nobody’s game.
We live our lives,
We’re a part of a larger plan.
Your love is the tie that binds.
Your love is endless as the sands.

We get one shot.
We take that chance.
We may miss the mark.
But know nothing in life is a happenstance.
I won’t give up.
I won’t give in.
And when it gets rough,
I know I’ll have a soft place to land,
When I see you.
Hear you call my name.
I know what’s true.
We’re part of nobody’s game.
We live our lives,
We’re a part of a larger plan.
Your love is the tie that binds.
Your love is endless as the sands.
